HOW TO BREAK FREE FROM ANGER?

An emotion which is fiery! now you guess it right? Very fierce! You got that. Yes, you got it! Yes, it\’s anger. But why this anger? Who wants to have anger? And especially at this point in time when life should be a bit eased up. We shall be introspecting ourselves-what we could do to improve our lives, become a better version of ourselves. Still, the sense of unease in this eased of time prevails, why? What is it that brews up inside and we cannot tap it; we cannot fathom out what exactly it is that causes that brewing up inside our heart, inside our mind?

There is a sense of disharmony, why is it like that? We find ourselves in this confusing state of the dichotomy between what our mind says, what we feel inside. The instinct and the intuition are always at longer heads with each other. So, suppose if there is anything that pains us, our pain is quite um tangible I can feel it, but the very awareness of the pain itself brings a new dimension of thought process.

The very awareness of knowing, itself brings about a shift in us towards our higher self and this happens at all times the same with the anger, to know that you are angry, anger won\’t find you. Is the anger outside? Has anyone seen anger? Have you seen anger? Have you? Is there anyone called anger or is there anything outside of you, that is anger and it catches up on you, it does not, there\’s nothing called anger.

So, there are two things, one is anger and one is being angry. So we find ourselves being angry. So it is pertinent to know that it is not the anger but being angry is the problem because anger does not have any solid or very consolidated kind of physical presence outside of you. It is our inner mechanism which we cannot control. And that inner power that we have transmutes a layer of energy which we do not know what it is. If everything comes into you, into your life anything from outside comes in a filtered way because you have been able to create a layer of filtration at each level, if everything and anything comes through that channel of filtration things would be very positive.

And that is possible only once we have evolved ourselves to a certain level; being more aware about it or being more attentive about it. So, let\’s say, if this flower, this bunch of flowers, you see, is so beautiful, so, all I need is, if I am conscious, I will be attentive. So, the consciousness, the result of consciousness is being aware, and awareness comes from being attentive to each and everything without any judgment, no judgment at all. So if you look at here, if we are really attentive to this flower, just be here, most of the problem will just go away, most of the problems that we have in our mind are because we have created them unconsciously, so that\’s why, whatever you see around you is the creation of our own mind, if that thing does not find you very pleasant at this point in time.

The most important thing is to understand, the people who find themselves really angry, almost perpetually, they could have a problem with their own life. Maybe they want to take control of everything and they control it. The people who want to control the world are the ones who find themselves really angry at all times. But the person who finds himself at the other end of the anger, it means someone is expressing the anger and it is going to this person; this person whom the anger is vented out to, may not be angry at all. This person who finds himself at the receiving end of someone\’s anger could be a very pleasant person to be with.

It doesn\’t matter who is throwing what at you. It is how you are taking what is being thrown at you, as simple as that; so it is very important. So, what is happening here, the person who finds himself to be angry perpetually, one thing is for sure, that person is very self-obsessed. It\’s a, it\’s like it\’s me and me and me hey! it\’s me and me and me you know this kind of thing. Because when you don\’t get the way you want it.

You start bending out your anger at everyone around you. It is very important to express anger but not being angry. This is very important to understand, at the workplace, it is almost at times pertinent, pertinent to express anger without being angry. So, you may be inside really kind of destroyed like really stable inside, like equipoised, but you have to express your anger to get things done because there are people who would not be able to move things ahead without that expression of emotion, that expression of emotion could be anger, that is all fine, but for that one does not have to get angry. Anything can be done away with if we are able to take control of what we are doing and that is possible only by becoming more attentive to what we are doing. Because gratitude will find its way to pacify your emotions.

There number of people, which you take for granted is an absolute matter of privilege to millions of people across the globe; this awareness itself will bring about a shift in us. If you live for kicks you would always find yourself angry, angry and angry. Anger will be there because you need kicks, you need dopamine; and anger has become a kind of dopamine. The anger is part of you, anger has become you. It is an expression of a person who only thinks about himself or herself at all times; oh yeah oh yeah oh baby what\’s up I’m cool.

That\’s how it is. I\’m talking about those people who are perpetually angry because of complaining, complaining, complaining gratitude is not there the enhanced perception of looking at things is absolutely missing; this is who I am, this is my way of life, this is my way of thought process, and I’m sticking to it. So, if we have this very contracted vision of life, anything which is big broadened or more elaborate, which could expand your thought process, will make you angry anyway.

So there are two things, the only way you can actually subdue your anger is to know your own traits of character. Whatever gives you gives you kick; you just go for it. That\’s like tempting suicide each day, and secondly to go out and be part of those people, organizations which are less privileged than yours. It will help elevate your perception towards a broader vision of life. It will bring an about different perspectives that will pacify the anger. So, anger is not something that you like to hold. Would you like to hold something unpleasant in your life? Not really! So, at times stretching yourself is very important to accommodate things that are good to you. We squeeze anger and angry to such a level squeeze it, further squeeze it and further squeeze it and make it one that\’s where the problem is.

So, if there is a gap between anger and being angry that itself will solve the problem; that itself will bring about this awareness that I am angry but I’m not anger, I could be angry because there are a number of things which I cannot take control over, I accept it. So, the very acceptance of this fact that these are things I cannot control, these are the things which make me angry. If the attentiveness and awareness of these situations in life are there for about six months’ time, then our life will be transformed, and we would be a transformed human being after six months’ time.

If we are able to create that level of awareness where we know these are the things which we, which make us uncomfortable, which push us off the boundary, only by this awareness, a new realm of possibility will arise, and that will be much more kind, much more compassionate, much more well-being, to yourself. With a heightened awareness: A matter could matter; the emotions could be pacified. May all be happy, may all be free from illness.

May all see what is good, may no one be distressed. O Almighty! Peace, Peace, Peace.
