Facts of Aloe Vera

Today I will share information about how to use homegrown Aloe Vera. Also known as GhritKumari, Gheekunwar, Gwar Patha, Kwal Gandhal in Indian name. Its botanical name is Aloe barbadensis miller It is not advisable to simply pluck and eat it as-is since it contains poison, which is present at the base of the leaf. One should not pluck it from the roots. Only one leaf needs to be plucked from the stem. On plucking carefully, the Aloe will ooze a yellowish sap at the base of the leaf. If you consume this, you may have a stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, and is very harmful to health. God has provided a protective mechanism to this wild plant, to keep venomous creatures in the forest from touching orbiting it, so that no creature should spoil it.

God has protected this plant with thorns on the leaves. No animal should be able to eat it. No insect should be able to walk on this. No insect touches this since there is a poison within this plant. When you pluck the leaf, the poisonous sap starts dripping out. Often people don\’t know this; they pluck the leaf and start eating it. After plucking, you should keep the leaf straight for one hour. Leave it in this upright position for 40-50 minutes to one hour. This will completely drain the poison out of the lead completely. Some people get scared when such information is revealed to them. You should leave it in this position for one hour. Cut it one hour before eating it; don\’t cut and keep it for a longer duration. Leave it in this position after removing it from the plant.

This will let the whole poison get drained from the leaf completely. After that, cut off either side of the thorny edges with a knife. When you have removed both sides of the thorns, cut the lower part and make it straight. Then, slowly slice it through the center in such a way, that the dorsal and ventral sides, the top and bottom layers get separated, exposing the pulp contained within. Scrape the pulp with a knife or spoon slowly, and gradually. You can collect this Aloe Vera in a bowl. You may squeeze a little lemon juice on this. For homegrown aloe vera, we do not add preservatives. To keep it safe for 2-4 days, you can squeeze just about half a lemon to maintain a low level of sourness.

Next, you need to whisk it in the food processor. You can take the gel out of 2-3 leaves, and squeeze about half a lemon, which will work as a preservative. Then you need to whisk it for a moment in the food processor. Then you can store it in a glass container since this has to be kept away from metals like steel or iron, or any other metal whatsoever. You can store this in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. You can use this aloe juice on the face. You can also make pickles or vegetables of its stalk. I have shared with you the way to use it safely. You need to keep it in an upright position for an hour. Once all the yellow sap drips out of the leaf, in about an hour, you have to wash it properly. After washing you have to scrape off the thorns as I guided earlier.

Some readers have asked me about the market-bought medicinal juices like Aloe Vera, Amla juice, etc bottles that they buy. For how long are their contents safe and effective after opening the bottle? To fully and effectively use the product, make sure to use it within 15-20 days But for any reason, it cannot be used in that manner, the Aloe Vera, Amla or Giloy juice that you buy from the store, can be safely used for a month. It has to be stored securely in a bottle in the refrigerator. Remove the bottle from the refrigerator, 45 minutes to an hour before use. Remove only the quantity required, and keep the balance back in the refrigerator. Allow it to sit outside on the counter for 10-20 minutes.

While drinking, you have to add an equal quantity of water, or maybe a little more than equal. You may take a glass of water and add 4 teaspoons Aloe Vera, 4 teaspoons Amla, and drink it. However, Aloe Vera takes time to get digested. You may take aloe vera in a glass full of water to drink, it will take a long time to digest. A few may be able to digest whose digestive system works well, but for some people with weak digestion, it will be difficult to digest. A few people complain that it did not suit them.
